JR Gibbens is a Director in Capstone’s Private Capital Markets group. He brings a unique background drawing from his experience in investment banking, startup operations/finance, and military service.
Prior to Capstone Partners, JR co-founded and served as COO/CFO of Trumbull Unmanned, a Forbes Top 25 Veteran Founded company and one of Entrepreneur’s 100 Brilliant Companies. JR’s career in finance began in Houston at a boutique investment bank focused on the energy sector where he supported transactions and advisory services in the upstream, midstream, and oilfield service sectors.
After graduating from the Air Force Academy, JR spent eleven years on active duty where he flew F-16s and was handpicked for a selective unit responsible for the development and employment of advanced unmanned systems. JR continues to serve as an officer in the Air National Guard.
