IMAP advised F. A. Neuman Group on the sale of Julius Montz GmbH to the Pfaudler Group

F. A. Neuman Group, Eschweiler, has sold its business unit Column Internals and Distillation Technology, which are bundled in Julius Montz GmbH, Hilden, to Pfaudler Group, a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG.

With Pfaudler, Julius Montz has a partner who is also active in plant engineering for the chemical industry,. In the future, Pfaudler will successfully support Julius Montz in the further internationalization of the company, through an existing global network and many joint customers.

Julius Montz develops, designs and manufactures column internals for use in the chemical industry, particularly in the field of distillation technology. Julius Montz also plans and supervises the construction of complete production plants for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. Its focus is on plants for the production of alcohols and flavorings, as well as plants for the recovery of solvents. Julius Montz employs approximately 110 people at its locations in Hilden and Landau (Palatinate).

The Pfaudler Group, a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, manufactures enameled reactors for mixing chemical substances and is expanding its product portfolio and systems competence through the acquisition.

Founded in 1849, F. A. Neuman Group is a family-owned company with several business units. These include apparatus and container construction, distillation technology, electric motors, fire protection gates, crane systemsand lifting and loading technology, as well as pneumatic conveyor systems.
