2018 IMAP Spring Conference in Warsaw

The 2018 IMAP Spring Conference was held from 12th until 14th of April in Warsaw in Poland. The event was hosted by Trigon, IMAP's partner firm in Poland. Over 150 delegates representing 29 IMAP member firms attended the gathering.

At the opening session, two impressive speakers shared their experience and expertise – Mr. Lech Wałęsa, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient and former President of Poland, and Mr. Przemysław Gacek, founder of pracuj.pl, the largest HR solutions company in Poland. Mr. Wałęsa gave a lecture on the future of Europe, and Mr. Gacek told the story of his company’s origins and growth, and its technology.

The conference was focused on the status and future expectations for the CEE region. The conference agenda consisted of a CEE Macro panel, in which panelists discussed the macroeconomic overview of the CEE as a region of opportunities for IMAP, CEE New Tech panel, in which information regarding the leading CEE tech companies and examples of global successes was given, and CEE Private Equity panel, which gave overview on the PE sector in CEE. Additionally, there was a session on Debt advisory and Restructuring.

Besides the panels and lectures, IMAP team had a chance to discuss the on-going projects and potential future projects. IMAP partners were able to spend face-to-face time interacting in small practice groups focused on particular industries and regions. Bilateral meetings to discuss business trends, potential deals and opportunities for cross-border collaboration also took place.

At the same time, Analysts and Associates of the IMAP team participated in a workshop on 'Collaborative Mindset.'

The next global event, IMAP’s 2018 Fall Conference, will be held on 25th-27th October in Miami.
