Fernando started his career at ARTHUR ANDERSEN BUSINESS CONSULTING, leading strategy, Corporate Finance, and consulting projects. He then joined TALDE, a Private Equity firm, as Investment Manager. He was a director at IBERDORLA for 5 years, providing advice to one of the commissions of the Board of Directors, on company M&A transactions, as well as on the development of the group’s businesses.
In 2004, as a result of his entrepreneurial spirit, he founded IMAP – Albia Capital and since then, he has taken part in over 30 M&A in several industries, many of them cross-border (Europe, Americas, Africa, Middle-East and India). Among them, we can name the sale of Rubi Czech and Lahnwerk Rubi to the German Group Meleghy or the sale of Iberica de Sales to Minersa. He has also completed several financial restructuring processes and company´s valuations.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of various companies and he also was the CEO of the Private Equity firm Granville Private Equity Spain S.G.E.C.R., S.A.,
He has taken part as a speaker and organized courses and seminars about Corporate Finance, Private Equity, M&A transactions, and has written articles for specialized publications.
Fernando is a Graduate in Economic and Business Sciences, Financial Sciences and Insurance Actuary and CIA from the IIA in Florida.
