Mehdi Berbich is a Founding Partner of Ascent Capital Partners (IMAP Morocco) and has over 18 years of investment banking experience. He co-founded Ascent Capital Partners, an independent investment bank based in Casablanca, to focus on strategic and financial advisory for a broad range of Africa-based clients. He has been involved in the execution of over USD 30 billion in transaction volume, across all areas of corporate finance and capital markets: mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity origination, hybrid products, leveraged finance, structured products, financial restructurings, rating advisory and risk management.
Prior to his current position, Mehdi worked with JP Morgan Chase & Co, where he served as Executive Director in its investment banking division in New York. During his tenure at JPMorgan, he was involved in the execution of over USD 30 billion in transaction volume, across all areas of corporate finance and capital markets.
Mehdi has advised on a number of M&A, private placement, restructuring and financial advisory assignments for several Moroccan, European, North American and Middle Eastern clients and his sector expertise includes: Industrials, Retail, Distribution, Agribusiness and Financial Institutions.
Mehdi holds a MS in Engineering Management from Tufts University (Boston) and a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University.
