IMAP off to a good start in 2016

With 221 Transactions valued at approximately $ 10 bn in transaction volume, IMAP continued consolidating and expanding its strong international position as an M&A organization during 2015. Of all the deals successfully signed, almost one third were cross-border activities.

Now present in 35 countries, IMAP's international presence had been broadened by ways of its new locations in Morocco, Colombia and Dubai.

Jurgis V Oniunas, Chairman of IMAP said: "We are heading forward with positive expectations for 2016 and our investments in larger cross-border teams and industry expertise have enabled us to deliver significant value to our customers around the world. We will continue to strengthen our international capabilities in order to provide the best possible service to our customers. At IMAP, we share the same common values and principles, especially the commitment to building long-term relationships with our customers."

Karl Fesenmeyer, CEO of IMAP in Germany said: "IMAP in Germany can also look back on a successful year, with the completion of 16 M&A transactions. Particularly noteworthy is the 40% cross-border quota. This is living breathing international cooperation! In 2015, international transactions were successfully concluded with China, Singapore, France, Serbia, Scandinavia, the USA and Switzerland. Our China Desk was able to provide valuable support for German companies in China, as well as for Chinese investors making their way into Europe/Germany.

In order to meet the increasing importance globally of industry specialization, IMAP has bundled its competencies in selected areas into internationally staffed, specialized sector teams. Our customers therefore, reap the benefits from our transactions experience in the respective sectors. In 2015, for example, transactions in sectors including mechanical engineering, hydraulics, packaging, fluid technology and seals, energy, services such as property management or language travel through to real estate transactions, were successfully concluded by our industry experts for our customers.”

IMAP in Germany in Mannheim and Munich, started the New Year well, with three transactions concluded in January, including another cross-border deal in Denmark and the USA.
