Ramón Fernández Olmedo has recently joined IMAP Albia Capital as Head of its Madrid Office

As a result of the market development strategy of IMAP Albia Capital for the central area of Spain, in the last financial year more than 10 clients in Madrid and surrounding communities have trusted us to execute their M & A projects. In order to provide better service to these customers while continuing our geographical expansion from September 1, 2018 Ramón Fernández Olmedo joins as responsible partner of the Madrid office.

Before joining IMAP Albia Capital, Ramón was the CFO of Iberdrola Engineering & Construction (with energy infrastructure projects all over the world), CFO of Scottish Power (utility with €7bn annual revenue  in power & gas generation, distribution and supply), CFO of Iberdrola Gas (€2bn revenue), Strategy & Risk Director of the International Business Unit of Iberdrola (€30bn revenue), Controller of the International Business Unit of Endesa (€30bn revenue and the largest public utility in Latin America at the time) and a Finance analyst in Repsol (oil & gas; €40bn revenue).

He has taken part in several cross-border acquisitions, has developed infrastructure investment plans over €10bn and has designed and implemented post-merger integrations and reorganizations, as well as synergy generation programs. Academically, he has collaborated with Global Alumni and UCLA in Risk and Project Management courses.

His deep understanding of the energy and engineering industries and a broad international experience acquired in the United Kingdom, Spain, USA, Latin America and the North of Africa make him a valuable acquisition not only for the Spanish team but also for the entire IMAP organization.

We welcome Ramón and wish him the greatest success.
