Dr. Burkhard Weber

Dr. Burkhard Weber has over 20 years of experience in advising family owned businesses, public companies and financial sponsors on cross-border M&A transactions, in particular involving manufacturing companies in German speaking European countries and in the United States.

He began his career with Franz Haniel & Cie and Deutsche Lufthansa and subsequently spent 11 years at KPMG Corporate Finance. In 2007 he joined Close Brothers Corporate Finance as a Partner and Managing Director.

Burkhard was hired in 2010 by Lincoln International as a Managing Director, where he lead multiple cross-border corporate acquisitions and disposals for almost 7 years, first based in Frankfurt and then in New York. Burkhard joined IMAP from US investment bank Raymond James, where he had helped setup and develop their industrials M&A business in Germany.

His focus is on the industrials and materials segments and he has specialist expertise in the fields of machinery and plant engineering, capital goods, building products, as well as pulp & paper.

Burkhard graduated in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and earned a Doctorate in 1996.
