Last weekend, IMAP colleagues from all over the world were due to congregate in Denver, Colorado, for a conference planned for many months, where deals, learning, and friendships would be developed and shaped. Even a month ago when the difficult decision was made to cancel the event, none of us could have foreseen the speed and scale of events that have occurred since.
While we look to navigate our way through these difficult times and to the future, we still believe the successes of last year should be celebrated and not forgotten. At the conference we were very much looking forward to holding the first ever IMAP Awards to recognize some of the outstanding transactions closed by IMAP partners around the world in 2019.
As this was not to be, we bring you our online compendium of the winning transactions, nominees, and names of the dedicated professionals behind the deals, all listed in the link to the IMAP Awards 2019 brochure below.
Each category winner will by now have received their IMAP tombstone, a proud reminder of their contribution to shaping the M&A landscape along with the teams that worked on these and all 234 deals closed by IMAP partners last year.
Our IMAP Dealmaker of the Year, Cyril Kammoun, epitomized for us what it means to be part of a community where deals are the lifeblood and glue of the organization, saying:
“I have been doing this for over 25 years and for me, these are more than just successful transactions. I get a great deal of satisfaction from the relationships we have formed with our clients over the years, from a human standpoint it’s the strength of the people behind the transaction. It really is the most amazing adventure.”
