Aitor began his career at PwC, where for 5 years he led projects in the Banking, Private Equity and Capital Markets industries.
In 2010 he joined IMAP Albia Capital, where he currently is a Partner. While at IMAP Albia Capital he has been involved in over 30 projects of M&A, Valuation and Refinancing. Among the industries in which Aitor has completed projects are: Technology (CAF – Orbital, Teltronic, Ikusi, Tryo Technologies, Histocell), Automotive (Bridgestone, CIE Automotive, Alcorta Forging Group, Metal Group), Food & Beverage (Bidfood, Granier), Manufacturing and Business Services (Azolgas, Talleres Guibe, Grupo Jauregui) and Mining (Ibérica de Sales – Minersa, Sibelco).
In 2016, after having completed the three levels of the CFA Institute program, considered the most demanding program in the investment industry, Aitor became a Chartered Financial Analyst. The CFA Charter has been recognized by “The Economist” as the “gold standard” among financial certifications.
Within IMAP, the organization of which Albia Capital is its exclusive member in Spain, Aitor coordinates the inbound and outbound opportunities to and from international IMAP partners, requiring intensive international activity. IMAP is present in over 40 countries and has a total team of over 500 M&A professionals.
Aitor obtained his Business Administration degree from the University of Deusto, having specialized in Finance. He continued his studies at Instituto de Empresa, having completed its Program for Direction in Corporate Finance. He is a frequent lecturer of M&A processes at the University of the Basque Country, among others. Aitor is also a CFA charter holder.
