Bertrand Dufournier has been a Managing Director of Degroof Petercam Investment Banking in Paris since September 2018. Bertrand is a seasoned Investment Banker having worked for Arjil-Altium group in Paris for the last 10 years as Managing Director in charge of the origination and execution of Corporate Finance (mainly M&A) transactions and the previous 8 years for Credit Agricole Investment Bank mainly as Head of the pan European M&A Food, Beverage and Retail practice.
Bertrand started his career at Bankers Trust international Mergers & Acquisitions team in London as an Analyst at the end of the 80’s in London prior to joining UBS in 1992 where he spent 6 years as a Vice-President Corporate Finance and Director in Paris, New York and London. Bertrand has been advising a wide group of clients with different profiles from large listed companies to smaller family owned businesses on public and private M&A transactions often involving either strong cross-border content or complex situations such as carve-outs. In recent years, Bertrand has developed a particular good understanding of the Consumer Goods, Specialty Chemicals and Airlines sectors.

Bertrand graduated from INSTITUT d’ETUDES POLITIQUES de PARIS (“Sciences-Po”) in June 1987 with a major in Economics and Finance. Other training and qualifications include Chase Manhattan Bank Credit Seminar (1989), FSA General Representative in the UK (Nov. 1990) and NASD Limited Registered Representative in the US (May 1995).
